I hope you're happy in your new life, & that you can be as good a friend to the new children in your life as you were to me growing up. I hope you know how much I still love you & how happy you made me. I wish there was a way I could have told you why we had to part, & that you would have understood. I'll always have you in my heart...
This is my former dapple gray quarter horse mare, Pepsi... Having to sell her felt like shooting Ol' Yeller.
I've been wanting to do something for her since I told her good bye over a year ago. I started working on this a couple weeks ago as a vent pic, & this is how it turned out. I haven't done anything realistic in a long time, so the cartoonish element still shows ('specially in the background), but I'm happy enough with it.
Anyways, dedicated to a really good friend. (who just happens to be a horse :3)
REALISM?! Oh my gosh, I don't think I've ever seen you pull of a realistic equine before! I really don't see any cartoon element in the background, though maybe these old eyes are failing me. Sucks you had to sell her D: Keep going!
That is so beautiful! So incredibly gorgeous ... I had to sell my horse last year, and it has been so tough without him. Before that, I'd never not had a horse. Mum tries to get me to ride hers but it's not the same - I don't miss riding, I miss the bond I developed with my dear 4-legged partner.
She'll never forget you. Not ever.
-- Hey, does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
